By downloading, installing, or using FileSnoop, you agree to these terms.

The Short Version

FileSnoop is source-available software with a shareware licensing model. It's free for personal use, but commercial use requires a paid license.

Licensing

FileSnoop is available under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0 for personal and noncommercial use.

License Types

Who Needs a Commercial License?

A commercial license is required for:

• Use on behalf of or in the course of business at for-profit companies
• Use for client work, consulting, or freelance engagements
• Any use that directly supports revenue-generating activities

A commercial license is NOT required for:

• Personal use (hobby projects, learning, entertainment)
• Students and educators for educational purposes
• Nonprofit organizations, charities, and NGOs
• Government institutions
• Public research organizations and academic research

What You Can Do

With a valid license, you may:

• Use the software for your permitted purposes
• Copy the software for backup and archival purposes
• Modify the software for your own internal use

What You Cannot Do

You may NOT:

• Redistribute the software (modified or unmodified)
• Include it in products you distribute or sell
• Sublicense or transfer your license to another person
• Share your license key outside your organization
• Remove or alter any copyright or license notices

No Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

Termination

Your license terminates automatically if you breach any of these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and destroy all copies.

Updates and Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of FileSnoop after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
